Since launching the SWAG Awards at the height of the pandemic, we’ve recognized nearly 100 social workers across the Pittsburgh region for their heart work.
Though our first ceremony was virtual, it didn’t stop the movement—it only amplified it.
Every year, the celebration sells out. Every year, lives are changed.
“The award elevated how people saw me and how I saw myself. It reminded me why I chose this field.”
Awardees have told us the recognition improved their visibility, increased morale, and deepened pride in their profession. One was even celebrated by their organization nationally after receiving the honor.
But we knew we couldn’t stop there.
We expanded into the SWAG Alliance Foundation, a nonprofit focused on year-round support through:

Why? Because our social workers are holding entire communities together and they deserve to feel supported, valued, and seen.
